# Stripe Connection

In order to accept orders, BDP needs to connect a [Stripe](https://stripe.com/) account-

* When setting up/connecting your Stripe account, you'll need some basic company information as well as online banking credentials
* From within BDP, click **"Create a New Stripe Account"** or **"Connect Existing Stripe Account"** and walk through the steps to completion
* Due to the secure nature of linking a payments account, complete this process from start to finish in one session, otherwise it may need to be reset
* Once connected, jump to [Sales Tax](https://docs.bulkdelivery.pro/settings/payment-tax-and-disclaimers/sales-tax) to set up within Stripe if you live in a state that collects
