Credits & Usage
Fund your BDP account to unlock increased internal functionality
Credits are used to accept Alternative Payment methods when utilizing the BDP platform
Credits are purchased in advance, with a credit card on file (see Billing) and the option to Auto-Recharge (see below). Credits are then deducted from the Credit Balance at the time of transaction.
Click “Purchase Credits” to select an amount for purchase.
BDP's usage fee of 2.5% applies for internal activity, taken per-order in deducted credits, as a percentage of total order value (pre-tax), just like online ordering.
Credit-based fees are “capped” at $25 for internal activity. This means that, for orders of $1,000 or more, all marginal dollars above that value go "fee-free," encouraging wholesale, contractor, and semi-truck load activity.
$25.00 is the max any single order can be charged (if an order is valued at $1,000 or any amount above).
Below that, it will be assessed at 2.5% of the order value.
A minimum fee of $2.50 is also assessed to discourage data manipulation and false $0.00 order entries.
Here are some examples for reference:
Order Value entered as $0.00; BDP fee = $2.50
Order Value of $100; BDP fee = $2.50
Order Value of $370.00; BDP fee = $9.25
Order Value of $1,000; BDP fee = $25.00
Order Value of $4,500.00; BDP fee = $25.00
When credits are purchased, you will not incur any Stripe fee for purchasing credits from BDP. If you load your BDP account with $100 in credits, you will have $100 in credits to utilize.
Unused credits will be forfeit; BDP does not refund credit purchases.
These credit purchases are separate, standalone transactions apart from the typical Stripe payout deposits made from inbound revenue activity. Payment for credits is not deducted from Stripe payouts.
If Credit Balance goes to zero, options for Alternative Payment methods are disabled/removed- only "card-not-present" or "card-present" transactions would then be allowed (and would revert to collecting standard commission fee & credit card fee). This would have no impact on end-users, only the Admin functionality.
Click ‘Usage Report” to see a breakdown history of credit purchases and itemized use.
Auto-Recharge
Enable this setting if you want to automatically recharge your credit balance. If your current balance falls below $25, this will trigger a charge to your card.
Once you’ve confirmed Auto-Recharge, you’ll be prompted to select the additional amount you’d like to be charged to your saved card once your credit balance drops below $25.
